Ryan Wosleger was taught fairly early in life that art is subjective; defined as existing in the mind or belonging to the thinking subject rather than to the object of thought. After nearly 40 years, Ryan had the realization that this methodology applies to success as well.
After graduating Virginia Tech with a B.A. in Graphic Design, Ryan pushed art aside and spent the first 17+ years of his adulthood searching for success in a corporate boardroom via the insurance industry. However, success was neither linked to a double Windsor Tie nor a fat paycheck. Ryan’s found success in his home - specifically through fatherhood.
His success began to materialize in 2018 when Ryan and his wife welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Briar. In 2021 Briar began nursery school and for the first time in over a decade Ryan began to create art again daily! This time it was to decorate his daughter’s plain SnackBag each day for school. These daily bags evolved into teaching moments, as Ryan and Briar began to work in tandem. In the years that followed Briar began to ask for guidance, request demonstrations of various art techniques and inquire on new mediums. Concertedly, these moments helped create The SnackBag Dad - a successful amalgamation of three of Ryan's essential commitments - father, artist and art educator.
As The SnackBag Dad - Ryan’s MISSION is to make ART accessible to ALL - via educating in every setting possible. Whether it be in a School, Library, Camp, Club, Hospital, or via Social Media Tutorials - The SnackBag Dad aka Ryan Wosleger wants to give all (especially children) an opportunity to create, explore and find their own success!
