“I love you because no two snowflakes are alike, and it is possible, if you stand tippy-toe, to walk between the raindrops.” - Nikki Giovanni
Since creating The SnackBag Dad, I have been featured multiple times via Newsday, ABC7, GMA, Adelphi Newsletter. With each feature touching on my three essential commitments of Dad, Artist and Art Educator. However, the commitment I am most proud of being featured for is Dad.
Being a Dad is not hard; however, being a good Dad takes work, patience, perseverance and self reflection. It’s thankless (most of the time). It’s pivoting in real time, it’s having hard conversations and it's making tough decisions. Don’t get me wrong, being a Dad also comes with pretend weddings, corny jokes, ice cream sundaes and bed time stories.
As an Artist, I have created many great works of art. As a Dad Artist my greatest (co) creations are my two daughters, Briar & Campbell. Both being my catalyst to not only excel as a Dad, but as an Artist and Art Educator.
